Each workshop invites participants to explore traditional and contemporary techniques while connecting with the history and spirit of making at Four Mile.

Gelli Prints
September 27th, 1pm
Join Australian artist Elizabeth Hughes for a relaxed introduction to gel plate printing! We’ll explore simple techniques using natural textures and treasures from the garden, along with basic stencils, to create beautiful one-of-a-kind prints. Never tried gel plate printing before? No problem! If you’ve experimented on your own and would love some tips to make your prints even better, you’ll find plenty to explore here too. You’ll leave with three finished prints and some new ideas to keep creating at home.
Halloween Block Prints
October 29th, 6pm
Join the artists of Bigger Table and Four Mile Historic Park for a spooky craft night. Learn to carve your own Halloween-inspired block print and use it to craft a one-of-a-kind canvas tote! You’ll keep the tote and your printing block for future projects.

Dia de los Muertos Block Print Cards
November 1st, 1pm
Create your own block print using designs from a local artist with Mexican heritage, presented through a partnership with the Mexican Cultural Center and Bigger Table Art Collective.
You’ll create 3 prints to take home, plus keep your block for future creative adventures!
Cheese 101

Join Certified Cheese Professional® and Cheesemonger, Kelly Liebrock, for this educational and tasty event at Four Mile Historic Park! You’ll learn to make a simple homemade cheese using minimal ingredients. Then, Kelly will take you on a guided cheese tasting where you’ll learn: The basic art and science of cheesemaking; all about milk – the fundamental building block of cheese; cheesemaking history and folklore; what makes cheeses different; and much more!
