Educational Programs

Option 3: Winter Wonder Days

Please note: Teachers will lead their classrooms
through the following activities:

Offered November through March for groups of 20 – 60 children.

Children rotate to three activity areas while enjoying the quiet beauty of Four Mile Historic Park in the wintertime.

Snack: Every program will include children of any age making a snack at our wood burning stove. The two remaining activity choices are determined
as follows:

Ages 7 and Under

Pioneer Story: Your group leader will read aloud a winter-time, pioneer era story in our one room school house.

Quilt Craft: Glue small squares of pre-cut fabric onto paper to make a design from the colors and patterns of the fabric.

Ages 8 and Over

Four Mile House Tour: A guide dressed in period clothing will lead your group on a tour of Denver’s oldest standing house.

Metal Punch: Create a picture or design by piercing holes into an aluminum square.
