PLEASE NOTE:

• All programs have a minimum charge for 20 students.

To ensure a fun, educational experience, please make sure that all participants are dressed for the weather and an outdoor, rural environment.

• IMPORTANT NOTE!: Programs are self-led (except for Westward Ho!)

• Program materials and instructions will be mailed to you 3 weeks prior to your field trip. It is important to read these materials and bring them with you on the day of your field trip.

• Four Mile staff will orient your class to the program and the park, as well as assist you during your visit.

As of September 15th, 2004, when you reserve a
field trip date for your organization, Four Mile Historic Park will require a $50.00 non-refundable scheduling and reservation fee. This fee will be applied to the cost of your field trip and is transferable under the following conditions: All non-weather related cancellations or reschedules must be made at least two full weeks prior to your field trip date and all weather cancellations must be made at least 2 hours prior to your field trip start time. Programs will go on as scheduled except when driving conditions are dangerous.

TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL FIELD TRIP:

• All activities are led by you and the adults that come with you.

• Choose and reserve a program option at least four weeks before your scheduled visit. Otherwise, program options/activities will be assigned by Four Mile staff .

• Let us know if you need program directions in Spanish, as well as English.

• Please read through all of the confirmation materials as soon as you receive them.

• Please make a copy of the materials for each group leader.

• Recruit at least 2 adults for each “family group” (1 adult for every 10 children is the minimum, but 1 adult to 5 children is preferable). All adults are admitted free.

• Instruct students and accompanying adults to dress for the weather.

• Please call prior to your visit with any and all questions.

• A limited amount of subsidies are available to schools with over half of their student population receiving a free or reduced lunch. A letter of proof will be requested.
